Summers over and if you are like me you spent the summer eating all those yummy summer goodies. Burgers, desserts, and so much more. Now it’s time to get rid of the bloat and get back on track. A natural detox is one of my favorite things to do to jumpstart my de-bloating process.

When you do a detox, it helps to cleanse your whole body and system. Detoxing your body can provide a wide range of health benefits. Not only does it give you physical benefits, but a variety of mental and emotional benefits as well. Here are some things you gain from detoxing your body.

If your someone that struggles with mental health disorders, like stress, anxiety, or depression, going through a detox might provide you with more clarity. While it probably wonít completely cure your mental health disorders, it does help to give you better focus and concentration and helps a lot with any chronic fatigue you have. Since insomnia is often a side effect of anxiety and depression, this definitely helps with many of your side effects.
You Get a Boost of Energy
Are you looking to have a boost of energy? If you are you should really think about doing a detox. In the first day or so, you will probably feel a lot more tired because you are not consuming the same foods and drinks, but after two or three days you’ll actually have an increase in energy.
What happens when you detox is that a lot of the toxins and bad stuff in your body that were causing fatigue or crashes in the afternoon are suddenly gone. You are cleaning out the toxins that have built up over time, toxins like trans and saturated fat, preservatives, and sugar. You then get a natural boost of energy from water, fruits, and veggies, which helps the energy boost last longer.

The problem with eating traditional foods, especially packaged or processed foods, is that there are a lot of artificial ingredients and preservatives. When you get a detox, you are only consuming all-natural ingredients, like fruits and veggies, juice, smoothies, and lots and lots of water.
This helps to cleanse out the inside of your body and remove all of that waste that’s built up. Any toxins you had in your belly, liver, and organs will also be emptied out, making you much healthier than you were before.

Detoxing is often done by people who want to lose weight. While you shouldn’t rely on a juice fast or detox for long periods of time, it is okay in short periods, such as a few days at a time. During this time, you are going to be consuming extremely low amounts of fat, calories, and carbs, so it does help you to lose weight.
This is a great way to get started on a new diet as the very first phase to get your body cleansed and get used to the weight loss process.

Detoxing your body is a great way to feel better, have glowing skin, cleanse your body of toxins, and even find a reduction of your various ailments. There’s not a more natural way to detox your body than getting more water. You can do this both by drinking more water and using water on your skin and hair. Most of your body is made up of water, so it makes sense that hydrating yourself properly is going to help exponentially.
Start by reducing other drinks throughout the day and replacing them with water. Fruit and vegetable-infused water provides more flavor and actually gives you a lot of nutrients for your water instead of just plain water. Use a water bottle you love, and you will be more motivated to drink as much as you need to. Splash water on your face regularly and make sure you shower daily to further detox your body naturally.

Eating more a more clean diet can detox your body in a healthy way, as well as help with weight loss or weight management. Stop eating packaged and frozen foods and foods with preservatives, and switch to organic, whole, and fresh foods. Get most of your produce fresh or purchase it frozen, but without any additives.
Make as many of your meals from scratch instead of using boxed or canned ingredients. Always have enough healthy fruits and vegetables, including citrus fruits, leafy greens, broccoli, radishes, beets, and figs. When eating meat, try to find locally farmed meat that isn’t fed any hormones.
Get Plenty of Vitamin C
You need to have a good amount of nutrients to cleanse yourself properly and detox your body, but one of the most important nutrients is vitamin C. This works to cleanse your body, especially your liver and colon. Vitamin C can also help to fight off illnesses like colds and the flu. Vitamin C comes in the form of citrus fruits, such as grapefruit, lemons, limes, and oranges. Some vegetables also contain small amounts of vitamin C.
Detox Your Skin
Your skin should also get some attention when your detoxing. Start by using as many natural skincare products and cosmetics as you can, avoiding those with harsh additives and chemicals. Use a dry skin brush on your body each day before you get into the shower or bath. Take a detox bath at least once a week, and take as many hot showers as you can.
