How To Apply Make Up

Last week I picked up some really fun gift sets while I was out and about doing some retail therapy. Everyone needs a little retail therapy right?! I totally get caught up in all the different gift sets out this time of year.

Its November 2nd and I’m ready to decorate for Christmas. Yes, I’m totally one of those people. Don’t judge! So, as you have most likely seen all the stores are all ready for the Holiday season. This means they all have so many different gift sets and gift ideas out there. I really love all the different things I see right now. It’s really the perfect chance to try things out to see if you like them.

So, after picking up a few gift sets andddd ordering more online (which just arrived) I thought I would share how I do my make-up with you. I personally never leave the house without makeup. I just feel more comfortable with myself when I at least have something on my face. Especially now that I can see so many changes in my skin the last few years, foundation is a must for me! Even though I always wear makeup I prefer it to look light and natural on a daily basis. I certainly do not want to walk out of the house looking like a clown hahaha.

The Steps I Take When Applying

First, I apply primer all over. I applying this as if I am putting moisturizer on my face.

After the primer I apply my foundation with a brush all over being sure its well blended and I didn’t miss a spot. I do go down my neckline a bit to blend there as well.

Once the foundation is applied I will either lightly brush on a power coverup or just straight to adding a bit of contouring on the outside edges of my face.

Next is blush! I add blush right about the contouring bronzer on my cheek bones and blend those together. I personally feel this gives more of a natural look. Once I have applied my full foundation, bronzer, and blush I pat on a bit of matte powder finish.

For my eyes I always apply my eyeliner first to the top of my upper lashes and the bottom of my lower lashes. I usually only go about half way to the inner part of my eye.

Once I have applied the eyeliner I add a darker shadow to the outside lower crease of my lid. This helps the eyes to look more open. I always take a lighter color which varies for me and add to the upper lid and corner of the eye.

Finish with mascara and you are all set!

I put this video together for you and I hope it helps. I’d love for you to share your favorite make up tip if you have one, or if you learn something new in the tutorial leave a comment!
