Best Back To School Shopping!

I can’t believe its almost August. August brings so much excitement. Back to school shopping, our county fair, and just soaking up that last little bit of summer. Naturally the top thing when you have two girls is shopping. I personally love love loveee shopping!! I swear I am a closet shopaholic and created two mini shopaholics. On the flip side though I love saving money. If I am shopping I usually walk straight to the clearance section first thing upon entering most stores. I hate buying kids clothes full price because they are just going to grow out of them faster than I’d like.

I don’t always shop clearance. Sometimes you can still find really good deals with items just being on sale. One of our stops on our back to school shopping is Target. Right now Target is starting their back to school deals which we love. They recently started changing their brands for kids clothes and oh my gosh.. they are sooo cute! I have been drooling over the clothes the last few times I have been in Target. My girls have seen a lot of items that they want for back to school.

The only problem that I have with back to school shopping is that the weather is still hot when the girls go back. Usually entering July most retail stores have already put out their fall/winter clothes making it hard to find summer items. I try not to go overboard for this reason. On the plus side though, if you do happen to stumble across summer items they are usually on a pretty good clearance. Win!

Target is also starting to have deals on their school supplies!! Umm… THIS is my favorite! I just love school supplies. I have never grown out of the excitement of picking out school supplies. If I’m being honest this is the exact thing I miss about starting school every year. I’m thrilled to see that my girls follow in my footsteps here. You will never guess what their all time favorite store is… STAPLES! My two little weirdo’s love that store. Yes, we do love to make a Sunday a fun-day by grabbing some fro-yo and stopping by and browsing Staples.

As much as we love Staples, I do feel I can find much cutier supplies at Target. I love how you can get so much that “matches”. I have a serious love for Target…on the rare occasion I get to stroll those isles all by myself I usually come out with way more than what I was planning on. You know, that dollar section when you first walk in, yeah that gets me every time!! Last year I found these super cute chalkboards that we filled in with teachers, likes, and dislikes and bam- that was our first day of school picture. (I did see these when I was there the other day.. don’t walk- RUN to grab them) I’m telling you because I was asked by a lot of people where I found them. Usually about July you can find them. They seem to sell out fast though.
